The sights of Cambridge

Cambridge is a world renowned centre of science and culture, containing some of the most important relics in the history of science and civilization. Most are within walking distance of St John's College, and delegates found time to visit many of them during their stay. Of particular importance were King's College Chapel, a world heritage site, and Trinity College, the stomping ground of Sir Isaac Newton.

Pubs and Clubs

Cambridge contains in excess of 50 traditional English pubs. The most popular with academics are the Eagle, which was made famous by the public announcement by Watson and Click of their discovery of the double helix, and the Anchor, which is on the waterfront and has a beautiful view over the backs of the Colleges. But Cambridge is a student city, and the Cambridge clubbing scene has a great choice of music and venues.
